The Youth Service aims to get young people into education, training or work based learning. This will help young people gain the skills to find a job and have an independent future. Young people work with community based providers who give guidance, support and encouragement to help them find the education, training or work based learning that works. Some young people will work with a Youth Service provider as part of getting financial support from Work and Income.
This may mean your best option now is to stay in, or get back into, education, training or work based learning. If you are 16 or 17 years old and not in education, training or work, Youth Service may be able to help you. Youth Service may also be able to help you if you are 15 year olds and no longer attending school. Youth Service has community based providers who will give guidance, support and encouragement to help you find the education, training or work based learning that works for you.
