What you should know about Timaru Town and Country Club
Welcome to the Timaru Town and Country Club Inc and the Highfield Golf Course, I've been lucky enough to have been the Club's General Manager since 1 June 2008 and can tell you with all honesty, it's a great Club full of great people and so much to do. If you would like to be a member of the Timaru Town and Country Club the Highfield Golf Club, you're invited to join online right now. It's simple, Click on the New Membership button on the left, complete the online application form, include a photo of yourself from your computer, when prompted, you'll be directed to a secure payment system, Paypal, and your membership card, complete with photo, already linked to our Clubs Loyalty Program, will arrive in your mail box within a few days, ready for you to use. To renew your membership, inclusive of all adjunct or section membership, you may also do it online. Click the submit button when you've completed the form and you'll be directed to the secure online payment system, paypal. The Timaru Town and Country Club is a chartered club that houses the only golf course in the city, the Highfield golf course. We pride ourselves in having modern and hi tech facilities that make the stay of our visitors more fun and memorable.
It first opened as an exclusive Men’s Only Club in August and due to liquor licensing regulations before, the membership was limited up to 1050 only. Women were accepted to the group in 1978 and junior members any age person up to legal drinking age in 1993. Our Courtesy Van Operates from 4 30pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday or by arrangment. Our drivers are our Club Employee's, their responsibility is to bring you safely to the Club and see you safely home again.
As our Staff are our employee's the vehicals are considered secondery to their roles within the club and as a result your ride home may not be available when you want
It participates in the local South Canterbury pool tournaments and has tended to dominate the competition results at all levels. Timaru Town Country Club South Canterbury 8 ball SC 8 Ball 6 Person Competition. We also compete in a local inter club tournament between six other clubs within the South Canterbury region, these are played fortnightly. There are currently 7 different clubs that participate in these organized events.
Sporting and Special Interest Adjuncts or Sub Sections, like sub Clubs of our main Club. Members Winning Wall and Lucky Draw 100 Beginning Prize, 25 either side and Junior Draw. All throughout the year, we also organize visits to and from other clubs and a number of in club’ events as well. The outdoor sports area of Timaru Town and Country Club are divided into 8 sections.
We have an outdoor bowling section that is exclusively for the use of our male members. We hold five tournaments throughout the year besides participating in other club tournaments in the district. While having very appropriate players in its ranks the Club also has social members who fair want to do what they can as best they can in enjoying the game of pool. Our missions is to get involve in supporting and coaching the potential players in the area.
In times where our outdoor bowling section is not used for competition, anyone is welcome to play and spend quality time with family and girl friends. Timaru Town Country Club South Canterbury 8 ball SC 8 Ball 4 Person Competition. Courtesy Coach operating from 4 30pm with a new answering system, choose option 3 when you call us. Our hockey section is a favorite among our members and guests because it is spacious and has competitive sections to accommodate both men and women teams
