The Sketch Designs are developed in form, structure, materials and services. With a growing roll, Rush ton Architects was commissioned to undertaken the design of a two stage development.
Stage 1 is the construction of the new accommodation wing with stage 2 beings the refit of the existing building into the istration and service areas. The Living areas orientate east west to maximize the sun with accommodation and service wings either side with the Main Entrance and hall central. Projects currently lower development for the work environment are at various stages of development from design through to construction.
As a Registered Practice with the New Zealand Institute of Architects, Rush ton Architects primary services are building design, contract documentation and construction observation. Projects currently under development for the living environment are at various stages of development from design through to construction. Further Project cost estimation is undertaken at the completion of the Developed Design if any refinements made have cost implications. As a portion of coming planning, the Aoraki Polytechnic wanted to ensure the campus with a student focus was developed.
Local river stone is exposed in tangible panels and in gab ion walls along with the canopy and decking formed from firm timbers. A gallery street’ space was created on three sides of the gym with the construction of 7 training spaces, tutor work spaces and changing rooms theses spaces frame the street which extends the access to other areas of the Polytechnic Campus
