In 2009 Leo purchased a premium site on State Highway 1 north last of Timaru to display over 100 trucks. Leo's son Mark left school and joined the company in 1985 as an apprentice mechanic. Mark has been with the company ever since and with the assist of some very appropriate staff helps with the running of day to day business. Leo is a former NZ bowls champion and also NZ saloon car champion in the 1970's, also competing at Bathurst 8 times.
Mark also has a love of motor sport and was NZ junior Rally Champion in 1991 and triumphant saloon car driver. Leo Leonard Motors sell and distribute them all over the country enjoying mostly repeat business
